Cellist Rachel Firmager grew up in Sussex and is lives locally. She is an experienced chamber musician and teaches both cello and Alexander Technuque.
Rachel Firmager grew up in Sussex and learnt the cello with Ian Gill before furthering her studies at Durham University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Love of chamber music led her to postgraduate study with Jane Salmon and the Schubert Ensemble, and later with Adrian Shepherd.
Projects over the years have included work with the contemporary One Voice, Tacet Ensemble, New Music Brighton, Bergersen Quartet, Hyperion Ensemble. She has given many recitals in venues such as Fairfield Halls, Croydon and Chapel Royal, Brighton. Work with the chamber ensemble for London Festival Opera took her on many occasions to Seville and as cellist of the Hilser Trio, her trips took her north, even to Svalbard! More recent collaborations have been with guitarist, Paul Gregory and pianist, William Hancox throughout Sussex, and with harpist, Elizabeth Jane Baldry.
She teaches Alexander Technique and cello privately in Hastings and at Brighton College.
Rosie is based in East Sussex and performs widely throughout the area and has also sung at London’s Natural History Museum for BBC Children In Need.

Modulus Quartet specialises in performing original string quartet repertoire written in close collaboration with a number of international composers. The quartet explores new ways of presenting music, performing in unusual venues and incorporating visual arts and multi-media technology.
Nancy Cooley lives locally in East Sussex. She is Artistic Director of the Lewes Festival of Song which she set up in 2015 and performs in the UK and abroad as a solo and chamber musician.
Matthew Fletcher is a sought-after pianist and répétiteur, a member of Glyndebourne Opera Festival’s music staff since 2012, and winner of the Das Lied and Kathleen Ferrier accompanist prizes.
