What an evening! 75 people joined us for a friendly, informal, wide-ranging musical quiz night. The audience enjoyed pitting their wits against questions on general musical knowledge, the shows, classical and film music.
But it wasn’t just your average music quiz! Three local musicians performed live musical clues – the host Rosie Page (mezzo) with Noa Lachman (soprano) and William Hancox (piano).
A generous selection of raffle prizes were donated to Music Box by local shops and businesses: Geo’s Coffee House, The Village Pet Shop, Flowers Green, Little Bake Shop, Hailsham Pavilion, The Windmill at Windmill Hill, Pevensey Cheese, the artist Danoush, Jenny Hook and The Secret Vinyard.
Music Box Wealden is the groundbreaking local initiative which brings live classical music to your doorstep. We’re on a mission to take music to venues all over the Wealden area – most of which don’t have a piano of their own! Our quiz night helped us to raise the rest of the funds we needed to buy the piano from Vitality Villages and it was a pleasure to present a cheque to them at the event.
Music Box Wealden is greatful for the donation we received from The Chalk Cliff Trust towards the purchase of the piano.
