The audience experienced the drama, pathos and comedy of opera with a selection of arias, duets and ensembles performed by Noa Lachman (soprano), Rebecca Hughes (mezzo), Ben Hancox-Lachman (tenor) and Peter Grevatt (baritone).
There was music by many of the greatest operatic composers, and a few novelties as well – and William Hancox has set everything in context and filled the audience in on the plots, to make sure everyone knew what’s going on from the piano.
The spectacular Elizabethan Barn at Michelham Priory, with its stunning vaulted, beamed ceiling made a magnificent venue, and so it was a memorable evening.
