After the success of our Musical Picnic at Pevensey Castle in August, we’re delighted to have been invited back at Christmas.

A programme of Christmas music for 4 voices. Beginning with early Latin motets by composers such as Palestrina and Victoria we will explore a rich tapestry of vocal music in German, Russian, French and English to tell the story of Advent and the birth of Christ before moving to some lighter Christmas numbers to round things off.

It was a festive and atmospheric occasion, but the venue was very intimate so we did it twice, offering mince pies and mulled wine to both audiences in between. Happy Christmas!
